Hoy recibimos desde Cuba fotos de nuestra nueva sobrinita, Sheyla Pérez Torres, hija de mi hermano Alexander y su esposa Yanet. La niña nació el 30 de enero (2008) en la Habana y en abril le celebraron su bautizo católico. Hay un álbum con fotos siguiendo este enlace.
Today we got from Cuba pictures of our new niece, Sheyla, daughter of my brother Alexander and his wife Yanet. The girl was born on January 30th. (2008) in Havana, Cuba, and was baptized in a Catholic church in April. We uploaded a photo album here.
Oggi abbiamo ricevuto dalla Cuba della nuova nipote, Sheyla, bambina di Alexander (mio fratello) e Yanet. È nato nel 30 gennaio (2008), e battezzata in aprile – il padrino, Fabiolo, è italiano! Veda la foto qui.
Yeah! Acabamos de cambiar nuestros teléfonos celulares/móviles, de Moto Razr a LG Shine! No pensábamos cambiarlos hasta el verano, pero mi Razr se jodió/fregó. Estos nuevos Shines están bien chéveres, chidos, mortales (Yola, ya no nos das envidia…), eso sí, pesan más que los Razrs y le faltan algunos detallitos, pero en general son mucho mejores – la pantalla y gráficos sobre todo. Aún estamos descubriéndolos y los mantendremos informados de cómo salen; una razón más para regresar a este sitio ; )
It’s news! We just got spanking-new cell phones, we switched from Moto Razr to LG Shine! We were planning to upgrade phones, but not ’til summer, then my Razr got screwed up last week, and so we went ahead. These new phones are very sweet, packed with nice features, but they are also much heavier than the Razrs and lack some useful functions of those Motos. We are still discovering these new toys, so we’ll keep posting updates of how good (or bad) they are; come back to this site to find out.
Ya sabemos todos como anda el combustible estos días, uno debería acostumbrarse, ¿no? De todas formas es un shock cuando llenas el tanque y la bomba para en 52 dólares!!! – por 14 galones (53 litros) – cuando hace apenas tres años costaba $20… y hace tres semanas era $40… Mi hermano en Miami lleva rato gastando más de $50 para llenar el tanque de su Nissan 350Z, claro ese lleva gasolina premium. Así es la cosa; esperamos no se ponga aun peor.
We all know about how high oil prices are these days, yet it’s hard to get used to it… as when we were shocked to see how the pump passed $50 when filling up the tank of our compact car – it ended up being $52 USD for 14 gallons (53 litres) – just three weeks ago it took $40, and three years ago it was only $20 – that said, my brother living in Miami is already used to fill-ups of over $50 for his Nissan 350Z (but it uses premium gas). That’s life, we should get used to it and only hope it doesn’t get much worse…
